Soccer is rapidly becoming one of the most popular sports in the United States. The sport has seen explosive growth over the past two decades as generations of men and women who grew up playing are now passing the love of the sport onto their children.

Millions of children play on youth soccer teams every week, there are literally hundreds of adult soccer leagues throughout the country, MLS just added a 15th team for the 2009 season (with a 16th team set to join in 2010), the US Women's National Team is a three-time Olympic and two-time World Cup Champion, and the US Men's National Team has qualified for the past five World Cup Tournaments. This is by any measure the golden period of soccer in the history of the United States and there are certainly no signs that this growth is going to stop anytime soon.
